
Dr. Andrew Kryder, O.D.
Dr. Andrew Kryder grew up in the Dallas area where he attended St. Mark’s School of Texas before earning a bachelors degree in Biology from Hendrix College. After completing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Kryder earned his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio Texas. While in optometry school, he completed research projects on the analysis of color deficiencies and the creation of new clinical diagnostic protocols used in the treatment of infants and cognitively impaired patients. He was also an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists and completed extensive training through externships focusing on pediatrics, surgical co-management, and disease specialties at sites around San Antonio and in Florida.
On graduating from optometry school, Dr. Kryder chose to pursue additional training and certification by completing a residency with Nova Southeastern University and the Department of Veteran’s affairs. During this time working at Malcom Randal and Lake City Hospitals, he became residency trained in Primary Care and Low Vision optometry. While working in Florida he also completed training and certification through the Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center.

When they aren’t working, Dr. Kryder and his wife enjoy spending time outdoors, volunteering, and with their dogs.
